Upgrade Inner Shaft for Eflite Blade CX

Recently I purchased an Eflite Blade CX. This is my first purchase of a RC Helicopter. The shop sold me the upgrade inner shaft with the aluminum head. I was told to loosen the screws on the collar and slide the shaft out. In looking at the exploded view on the parts page it appears that there are a lot of other parts on this shaft. I need some help on what to expect when I pull this shaft out. Anyone who has done this, I would appreciate some of your expertise.
